We were set up after Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland were granted their own devolved Parliaments to look after their own interests whilst England was ignored
The Scottish, Welsh and N. Ireland Governments could now develop their own policies to help their own nations industries.
England was, and still is, discriminated against in that we have not been allowed our own Parliament, to look after our own nations interests and to develop policies to help our own industries.
This break up of the United Kingdom also means the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) is now obsolete. The United Kingdom no longer has a common and coherent policy where businesses are concerned.
English Businesses needed a Voice to speak up for their interests, we are that voice.
